Lay with Me Again

People like me, all we do is roll,
With the moments, like the punches,
We just go with the flow.
We savor up the pleasure, then we cope with the pain,
And we get a little crazy, to offset the sane.

So won’t you come, lay with me again?
You could come, in my arms again,
And this time, there would be no end,
No end.

‘Cause I had to be whole, before I could be half,
‘Cause otherwise I focused on, everything we lacked,
And when knowledge was a currency, but I was somehow broke as shit,
Despite all those years of schooling, that's why I finally quit.

So won’t you come, lay with me again?
You could come, in my arms again,
And this time, there would be no end,
No end.

‘Cause you got me so high,
And then you tore me down,
But I’m not gonna lie,
I miss having you around.
Yeah you got me so high,
And then you tore me down,
But I’m not gonna lie,
I still miss having you around, yeah.

Now I'm not saying, that I'm worry free,
I just describe the person, that I'm on my way to be.
‘Cause it's the process not the outcome,
When you're a middle at an end,
So when everything you thought was real,
Turns out to be pretend.

Then you could come, lay with me again,
You could come, in my arms again,
And this time, there would be no end,
No end, no end.
